I'll tell you a secret. Hybrids that get a sticker in the Bay Area, where there are several toll bridges, are forced to get a Fastrak automatic toll paying transponder. The reason is that other cars in the HOV lane don't pay the toll, but hybrids are not exempt by law. So they said, we'll charge you automatically with Fastrak in the carpool lane without making you stop to pay the toll.
Well, the secret is that my wife drives across the Bay Bridge in the carpool lane every morning, and her Fastrak transponder has not beeped once. She has NEVER yet been charged the toll for crossing the bridge.

My stickers are already starting to peel at the edge just slightly.
Doesn't sound as if they will be too difficult to remove. Hopefully we won't have to remove them at all!

Now I'm starting to notice a lot of HOV stickers with the corners dog eared. I wonder if they can be pulled right off. The adhisive must be cheap.
I think my method of magnetic application is best for me.
I am planning to replace my HCH in 4 years and
wonder if this plan will still be active.
I cant believe they will terminate it in 2008 I mean why.

whoaaah....I just got my application and check sent back to me with the following note:
"WE ARE UNABLE TO PROCES YOUR CLEAN AIR DECAL UNTIL YOUR VEHICLE IS REGISTERED WITH DMV. PLEASE RESUBMIT".
I thought everyone was able to get their stickers with just the VIN # without waiting for the Registration to come back. That could be another month or so! Anyone else have this same experience or should i call them to see what's up?
