The wording is strange in the guide if I remember correctly and it took a few readings of the info for me to understand what Honda meant.
This seems like a pretty complex formula. I wonder how the engineers decided on that particular sequence. For that matter I wonder why they felt the need to put a limit and reset on it. Why not just re-enable the autostop every time the car moves at all? As mentioned the driver can put it in S to disengage that if they want to keep it running. I guess I'll just never understand their need to overcontrol everything. (am I getting a reputation here???)

lol! Nah, no reputation. But if you suggest a switch to disable AS...

Hey somebody else already suggested that. Not to say that I'd be against it of course... :-)

Actually, that was me... and it was a switch to ENABLE AS. Prior to my knowing that AS could reactivate, I thought it would be nifty to have a manual AS switch to kill the engine whenever you wanted.

Yep, that's what I was thinking when he said to disable AS. I meant what you meant, so that you could kill the engine manually without shutting the car off. That would be nice.
