Default Rear seatback fitment

Last month I installed a grid charger, and needed to remove the rear seat, top and bottom.
I noticed that there is a gap along the top of the seatback and the rear window tray. I assumed this is for heat dissipation from the electronics behind it, as the seatback does fit in the slots which hold it in place.
Non-hybrid models don't have this wider gap.
Can someone look at theirs and confirm this wider gap is normal? I'd never noticed it before until I put the seat back in.
Thanks!

I have removed/installed packs in HCH1 and 2. Neither has a gap. The electronics bay is sealed, and the intake is the vent at the front of the rear deck. The fan discharges air into the trunk creating a vacuum in the electronics bay, and air is drawn in from the vent in the deck.

If you're 100% certain the hooks are engaged in their receivers, you may not have pushed the seat down far enough?

That's what I'm thinking too. There is no gap like the OP describes if the rear seat back is installed properly.
