Regular anywhere from $285.9 to $295.9 here in upper Hudson Valley NY. It's been pretty steady at that for a few weeks now, after dropping from the highest post-Katrina levels.

There was little change after Rita, which suprised the heck out of me.

There is a side of me that wants to see prices stay up to further justify my Hybrid purchase, but that will pass as soon as I get my next propane fillup for my house (we heat & cook with propane).

 

Hi mehitibel; I just read your post and thought you might find this "Kinda" interesting. I was in Hawaii with the 25th Division 3/4 Cavalry for two yrs. way back in (1965-1966) then we were pulled out and sent to (Vietnam) for vacation.

Hope your enjoying Hawaii, it was really pretty way back then and I hope that it still is.

Dropping again, yay. And just in time for a fill-up later this week. Can't believe I made it from one end of the Rita spiel to the other w/o ever paying. I LOVE this car.

 

Fuel costs in the DC metro area range from $2.79 for 87 octane to $3.19 for 94 octane. Am currently visiting in-laws in Iowa and fuel out here is about $2.41 for the 89 octane ethanol mix. Prices have dropped since the week following Rita. Hopefully people will stop worrying about a gas "shortage" and realize there is no need to freak out when they hear rumors around this region.

 

Here in Eastern N.C., New Bern to be exact, the price just went to $2.86.9 today. Has been at or over $3.00 until about 3 days ago. Boo.
