Anybody hear about why the futures are back up again?

 

There's usually an increase once you actually get into winter and demand picks up a bit due to increased demand for heating oil. Another factor is that some refineries will be offline here and there as they transition to ultra low sulpher diesel. That transition is supposed to take place over the next 7 months or so.

Lowest price in Nashville today (Wednesday 12-7) is $1.94 at the Sams' Club on John Ric Blvd.

The page shows Nashville average prices up 5 cents in the last week. Maybe that one station is trying to get ahead of the game by going up 10 cents in one day.

 

The range I've seen on the anniversary of Pearl Harbor is a low of $1.979 to $2.159 in various stations in Metro Motown.

 

Hanging at @ $2.72 here on Kauai. First time it has not changed in two weeks. We will always pay more for living in Paradise, of course.

We've been hanging at $2.34-2.39/gallon for a while. I hate NY. At least in HI or CA there are weather benefits that offset the higher prices...

and we don't have to pay for heating. Life is just not fair, is it?

When I click "Post a Reply" (not the "Quick Reply" in the message, but at the top of the screen), I get an interface that has a box of little smileys on the right, from which to choose. If you're not getting that, try editing your preferences under "User CP" at the top, under "Edit Options" if you scroll down you can select what kind of editor you have for messages - that might be it. Pick the third choice "full WYSIWYG"; that's what I have. If that doesn't work, I'm sure someone here can help you figure out what to do.
