My sister has an '03 Eclipse. Her stock radio has a display system similar to the '08 Escape where it's wired in to other things. I installed an aftermarket deck in her car. Now the display shows the same information that it did before, just no cd or radio information. It would be nice if the Escape were the same way. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

When I had my speakers installed over the weekend I asked about getting a new head unit installed and the installer said that since it's so new I'd have to wait a while for new kits to come out. As far as the electrical, the hybrid issue doesn't present a problem but he did say that since both the stereo and climate controls are wired to the display system, it could create some issues.
