Which is better? Midwest Toyota or Toyota of Greenfield???? I live in the NYC area. Also, does anyone know of a good place for the prepaid plan in the NYC area or can I get it elsewhere and still get my oil changes, etc done over here????
Any help would be greatly appreciated, sorry if I repeated something that was already discussed.

I purchased my extended warranty from Greenfield, but passed on the prepaid maintenance, as all it seemed to cover was 'dino'/ non-synthetic oil changes.
Plan descriptions can be found on the Toyota Financial website --
Toyota ExtraCare (Extended Warranty)
Toyota AutoCare (prepaid maintenance)
Toyota Financial's ExtraCare is honored by all US Toyota dealers (Canada ???).Toyota Financial's AutoCare may/may not be honored by your local Toyota dealer (e.g., Southeast/SET and Gulf States dealers). Check with your local dealer before purchasing a Toyota Financial AutoCare plan. When you purchase the plan, you receive "coupons" which can be used at any participating Toyota dealer.
FWIW - Many dealers (e.g., Southeast & Gulf States) do not sell the "Toyota Financial" ExtraCare and AutoCare plans. They sell similar plans with similar names that are offered only in their geographic regions. (SET dealers sell plans from JM&A Group http://www.jmagroup.com/default.aspx). Protection is probably equivalent to the "Toyota Financial" plans, just backed by different Toyota related organizations.
Troy Dietrich at Toyota of Greenfield is responsive and can answer any questions you may have regarding extended warranty and prepaid maintenance. His phone number is (413) 772-0231 or (413) 772-0989. His website is www.FactoryDiscountWarranty.com.
I used TOG. I was delighted with their service. I am not easily delighted about anything. I am not related to Troy nor do I get any kickbacks from TOG.
I just received my refund checks from cancelling the Extended Warranty and Prepaid Maintenance Plan that I purchased when I bought my TCH. I also verified that the new warranty and maint. plan were in the Toyota database.
For those of you who are interested, here are the dates of the steps I took to give you an idea of how long this process takes (at least in my case):
12/15/06: Purchased TCH, Extended Warranty, Maint. Plan.
1/12/07: Cancelled warranty & maint. plan at local dealer.
1/15/07: Bought same warranty and maint. plan from Midwest Toyota.
1/22/07: Called Toyota Financial Services to status. The old plans had been cancelled and the warranty was in the database. The maint. plan had not yet been entered.
1/29/07: Received refund checks in the mail. Called Toyota Finance to status maint. plan. It had just been approved and was in their database.
I did not finance the purchase of the car so the full refund came directly to me (I think others have said that if you financed the purchase, then the refund checks go a different route). Also, I cancelled my plans through my local dealer, but others have cancelled directly from Toyota Financial Services (800) 228-8559. Cancelling directly from them might be faster since the refund check came from them and not the dealer. So, for a few minutes of my time and a two and a half week wait, I saved a significant amount of money and am even happier with my TCH purchase.

Called TFS today to make sure that my dealer actually sent in my cancellation request. Well guess what? They didn't send it in. They sent in the purchase request in under 24 hours so that I couldn't back out but now it's been 2 weeks and they haven't sent in the cancellation request. Thank goodness I made them give me a copy of the cancellation paperwork. TFS gave me the number to fax it in myself so I'll be doing that tomorrow.
Lesson to the rest of you...Don't trust the dealer when it involves refunds!!!

I called the dealer again and asked and they said it should be in there that they faxed it that same day - but when I told them i checked with TFS they said they would "look into it" as to why it is not there, Hmmmm.
Well, the dealer calls me back Thursday evening saying it should all be o.k. now. On Friday I called TFS and - GEE.... its there! Immediately I cancelled (they actually had my previous cancelation request on file) and told me they were sending out checks for the full amount - $3,350.
Next step - once the green is received, I call midwest, greenfield, or ???
P.S. When I asked TFS about how the dealer gets backcharged for the warranties they say they send the dealer a bill forr iimmediate payment/re-imbursement to TFS. I bet the dealer doesn't hold back on THAT check.
Until later.....
Thanks so much guys!!! I just got my paperwork from Toyota of Greenfield (Troy) and I purchased the 6 yr/100, 000 mil extended warranty for my magnetic (metallic) gray TCH at $ 875 only. I had the $2800 6yr/75,000 mil warranty from the dealer cancelled 2 weeks ago, just waiting for my refund.
