2005 Ford Escape
Hi All,
I have a 2005 Ford Escape SUV that suffered the common to this model/year problem of rot at the top of the rear shock mount. Because it's a hybrid, the battery has to come out before any welding is done. The Ford dealer is the only place that I've found that will take the batt out, and they want $1,000 just to take the battery out.
I need to get out from underneath this car. It was my mom's, and when she passed, I inherited it. It came from NM; I drove it home to Maine. I've had it on Craigslist for sale at $1,000, and the only response I've had is a scammer. I'm staring at scrapping this car. And I'm thinking the battery must be worth something to someone, somewhere, but I don't know how to offer the battery for sale. Could someone point me in the right direction?
I do not like feeling so helpless, but my plate is seriously full, and I have to solve this transportation issue asap. Thanks in advance - Maureen
