The all-new 2005 Ford Escape Hybrid will have a base manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) under $27,000 when it hits showrooms later this summer.

The base price for the 2005 Ford Escape Hybrid will be $26,380, excluding destination and delivery charges of $590. The Escape Hybrid equipped with four-wheel drive will start at $28,005, plus destination and delivery charge.

For that price, I’d rather spring the extra $$$ for the RX400h, or wait for the Highlander.

 

In my neck of the woods, I know there are some people who have been waiting to see the final numbers on this vehicle so I'm glad that it's finally public. I hope the performance meets the high consumer expectations.
