Not to knock on you, G, but that doesn't really sound like getting 60 mpg to me. If you use gas to get up to speed and to warm the car up, you can ignore it by resetting the trip meter, but you still used it. Anyway, I have confidence that 60 mpg would be possible for you, too, even without all that under the right conditions. Really warm weather, a flat, long drive, very careful driving and precise knowledge of the route, properly inflated tires and no A/C, windows up, no heavy baggage, ... under those conditions, my HCH can get 60 mpg plus for a 700+ mile tank, even with warmups and getting up to speed (slowly). If I can do it, you can, too.
