Default Re: Redesign of 06 Civic Hybrid

Hi Blueskies:

___You can travel much faster then that to hit mid 70’s as I found out in Tbaleno’s CVT based HCH while driving in 70 + degree temps. In fact, Tom said make sure you are traveling just a touch above 50 mph for her magic 80 + mpg leanburn to reveal itself and it did too His CVT performs much differently then the Insight 5-speed as that thing would hang in leanburn all the way down to the very low 30 mph range while still holding 5th gear and barely spinning above idle! That may be the difference between a CVT and a stick I guess but I think it has everything to do with the CVT dropping down in gear, not the ICE hanging in leanburn? I still need to drive an HCH w/ a stick someday …

___Good Luck
