Xcel,
Thanks very much for your reply. I've only done a FAS once and that was at 3am when I was alone on a rather large road. I have no plans to use it when anyone else is around me (I learned all about it beforehand, just hadn't done it). Thanks again!

One thing I do to reduce wear on the cvt is to rev the engine up to the expected rpm's before switching back into drive, sort of like double-clutching, so the engine is more closely matched to the required rpm's before I engage the cvt. I don't really know how much difference this makes but it is a smoother transition and so I assume its making less wear on the cvt.
Those of you who do the FAS by turning off the car, do you restart it with the key, or do you roll-start the engine? What about in a cvt?

This was a thread about N-coasting in the Accord (we are unable to FAS under most conditions due to our transmission configuration). Definitely much better than staying in gear. I don't know of anyone on any platform who has put together anything similar to find the delta between N and FAS.
Any volunteers?
