Not at all. Synthetic oil is just formulated better than what come out of the ground. I don't think the brand of oil you put in your car has any reflection on your mpg's, unless, of course, you put in straight 90w gear oil! (you won't be getting any mpg's if you did that) Synthetic just lasts longer.

You will NOT be hurting your car with Honda 0W-20. I ran my car with it for the first 30K miles. I did change it using the 5K interval (severe) but I am betting that it would have gone to 10K with no issues. BTW... the dino oil came out just as clean as the synthetic oil changes.

Have you noticed any difference in mpg between the dino stuff and synthetic stuff?

I have two HCH's. One personal and one company car. I have always, since the first oil change, used Mobil1 0w20 and Mobil1 M110 filter in my personal HCH. I have close to 73,000 mile on her and usually get 48 mpg. The company HCH only has 15,000 miles on it and has always been serviced at the dealer, including oil changes. I'm luck if I get 42 mpg on that one. I drive them both the same, but for some reason my personal HCH seems to run a lot smoother. Couldn't say for sure if its because of the synthetic oil or not, but I'm not complaining.

Nada. Zip. Nope. No.

I use Mobil 1 because I have been brain washed, and piece of mind.
