Is it safe to use 20w oil on a HCH II?

Default Is it safe to use 20w oil on a HCH II?
I asked my mechanic to oil change some 20w oil, but on some other web sites ppl say the HCH need 0-20w oil. Does anyone know if it's the same type of oil? Many thanks in advance.

From what the dealership says, no. I buy my own oil and filter and take it with me to the oil change place

Ack, do you think I should change it to 0-20w oil asap? Think I've ran like 400km on it so far. : /

It only hurts gas mileage. The 0w oil is light so there is reduced drag and friction. You will have worse MPG but if you want to wait until the next change to fix it, its fine.

The first owner of my car used only 5w20 in it, for 90K miles, and it seems not to have damaged anything.

The thicker weight oil will only degrade MPGs. Not damage anything.
