I just got some at my local Auto Parts place. Mobil 1 0W20 4qts + K&N Filter. $26.38 later I was on my way.

It was my 1st change on the HCH, mann those little clips are a pain in the butt. But other than that it was an easy change.

Why can't you just buy it from honda? I think they charge $3-4 a quart. How much are you guys getting from NAPA?

I saw it at the Honda dealer for something like $3.25 or $3.75 per quart. Should be *about* the same at all Honda dealers.

I've been looking for a K&N filter for my car but haven't found one. What year is your HCH? I asked K&N directly if they had any and one of their tech guys told me that they didn't make air filters for my HCH (an '05) but I never bothered asking if they had any for prior HCH's.

Also, regarding the oil from Honda, is that a synthetic oil? if it's not, maybe that's why it's cheaper than the mobil, or could it be something else?

Honda oil is not synthetic. It is dino oil. My local Honda dealer is asking $7.55 a quart! My opinion, but synthetic seems to be cleaner and last longer. After using Mobil1 for quite some time now, after 10,000 miles the oil is just as clear as when it went in.

p.s. I think the K&N filter Big Bill was talking about was the oil filter.

Read the comparison thread listed somewhere in this thread. I've read other comparison oil filter threads and Mobil 1 filters always ranked up at the top. I've used the M1-110 filter for every oil change from the 30K mile mark on my car and haven't had any issues with it. Actually M1 has updated their oil filters with the extended life badge, don't know if the filters actually change or it's just a marketing ploy.

Are you saying I could be hurting my mpg with Honda Hybrid oil?

When I took my 04HCH in for oil changes the service advisor told me if I want to use Mobil 1 that I should bring my own as they charged a VERY high price for it and would be cheaper to bring my own oil.Kevin
