My HCH-II replace my 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX that I bought brand new in 02 and put 100,600 miles on it in 4.5 years.

Once I pay off my HCH-II we're trading in my wife's SUV for an STI if they still make them in 2010 ish. I had my WRX paid off in a little over 2 years. Amazing how much faster it goes if you pay more than the minimum payment each month. I think for the most part I paid $360 every month and my payment was $280 but I put $10k down on that car.

Well, "my" second HCH-II (arriving this week) will replace "my" 2007 Prius (package A in Canada).

This one is going to be my wife's car as she never warmed up to the styling of our Prius (as well as a few other things about it).

It is kind of sad though, because just as the good weather was returning it started producing spectacular fuel economy. However, for my climate the Prius is also neither the safest nor the most efficient hybrid anyway... so in the end the wife wins the most by getting her own HCH-2.

Cheers;

MSantos

A 2005 Mustang GT. On Earth Day my kids (9 & 12) convinced me a 20 MPG, 300 HP V8 commuter car wasn't environmentally friendly. I wholeheartedly agreed and bought the HCH-II a couple of weeks later...

I'm averaging about 49 MPG now. The Mustang was fun, but the HCH-II is as well, in its own way.

My 2007 HCH replaces a 1996 Chrysler Town & Country LWB soccer team hauler. Unfortunately it was a SOV, 5 days a week, 40 mi./day, 20 mpg. A move in the right direction.

mine just replaced a 2005 dodge srt-4 with a lot of modifications. the car did over 300hp and was very fast. I've just decided that a fast car is not going to do anything but get me in trouble and make me spend more money so I traded it in for something slow and with great MPG.

Our HCH II replaced a 2002 Subaru Outback Limited Wagon. It was a very nice vehicle, but we just wanted something that burned less gas. The HCH II has saved us close to 400 gallons (compared to the Subaru) in a little over a year.

i replaced a 1998 Nissan 200SX driven about 20,000 miles annually - the last tank of gas in the Nissan was @ 29mpg - this was something of a surprise, because to be honest, i hadn't checked the mpg on this vehicle for years...

after about 6000 miles in the HCHII, and without a great deal of extra effort, i'm averaging about 44 mpg.

Thumbs up Re: What did your HCHII Replace?

I replaced my 2005 Subaru Legacy GT LTD Sedan (Turbo) with the 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid with Navi (Galaxy Grey). I have no regrets whatsoever. Although the Subaru was a great car, I was ready to drive a more efficient and much cleaner vehicle. The fact that the HCH-II is so nice is just the icing on the cake!

My 2007 HCH replace my 2000 Ford Focus. It was literally on it's last wheel. The car almost did not start when I was taking it to the dealership to pick up my new car.

My previous car was on its last wheels as well. 1988 Lincoln Town Car. I drove it for 7 years (was a grandparent's). The years of harsh winters with salting on the ground have caused it to rust both on the outside and inside, in addition to various aspects of being really old.

P.S. Hi! I'm new.
