I'm planning to buy a HCHII within the next two months, so far the dealership I visited in Mississauga wanting to give me ZERO discount.

So, if you can get an HCH-2 for MSRP or less then consider yourself a very lucky person. Many people over here are being put on a waiting list and almost forced to pay the highest bid to get one in a reasonable amount of time. It is pretty much the same for folks wanting to buy a Toyota Prius.

I guess I was lucky. And I did purchase it within 2 weeks of the rebate announcement so maybe demand wasn't that high yet. When I had called around (and this was after Mar 20th) most dealers had atleast a couple in stock and some had them on order. Only one dealer stuck with MSRP and another one was offering about $500 off. All others offered $1000 off right off the bat (all of this was a response to my email query - i.e. I hadn't even been in to see anyone in person).
Maybe Ottawa is a slow town after all
atleast in terms of Hybrid sales.

However, I did the deal just prior to the Federal government $2000 rebate announcement but took delivery after the effective date. This was intentional as I was hoping for the Feds to put an incentive in place and wanted to beat the rush by getting the car lined up the Saturday before the Monday announcement.
My car came straight off the lot, if I didn't order the skirts etc. I could have driven away the same day.

Okay, I must of sent out about 40 requests and so far only five replied. The good news is out of the five three are serious about trying to win my business.
Here is the best quote so far:
Freight & PDI + 1,275
Air tax + 100
Fuel tax rebate - 100
License & plate +100
Honda Green Rebate - 1,000
Including Taxes 30,000
I'm going to make an offer tomorrow if the quote is correct, however, I think they might of made a mistake on giving me the Green Rebate. As I understand it correctly from Honda's websit the rebate only apply to Civic 5 speed and Honda Fit.
