Default VIA Electrified

As we all know the GMT900 Hybrids are no more, so I was wondering if anyone has considered buying one of these when it's time for a new vehicle: http://www.viamotors.com/powertrain/

Don't know much about them tbh ... I was just looking for your thoughts and opinions on these vehicles, as they seem to be the last (albeit expensive) option left for anyone looking for a more fuel efficient full size pickup/SUV.

It is strictly a series hybrid. So no fixed gears. Assuming 80% efficiency from gasoline to generator and another 80% to output drive motor... 64% of energy the gasoline engine is producing makes it to the wheels. The Sport Brutility in the picture above will probably do better on the highway.
