Wayne, I'm sitting at 48.5, but still BELOW the "hypermiler" cutoff on the Civic Hybrid RMD screen - any idea why I'm below the cutoff line and the other 48.5 drivers? Thanks.......

There sure has been an onslaught of Honda hypermilers recently.

More power to you all, but I can't help but wonder if there isn't a Prius that may have been overlooked ;-0

I have been under this delusion regarding the criteria for hypermiler status, that a consecutive 5 tank average > EPA made the grade. I just reread the OP, and it clearly says lifetime mpg (which fwiw makes sense to me).

Wayne, did you clarify the criteria, or am I just prematurely senile ?

Anyway, I figure if I keep my wife away from the gas pedal, I *just* might squeak above EPA by summer's end. 55 lmpg in a Prius II is achievable, but not easy.

Last five tank average: 59.2
Current tank at 90 miles: 64.2
