Kenny is right! You drive short trips and a/c, I drive about 60 miles one way to work. I take 2 different routes, one almost all freeway and the other backroads with a few stops in a few towns. I haven't had to use the a/c that much until this tank I'm on now and this tank has had almost all city driving and the gauge shows 50.7 at this point, so it could be around 48 mpg in reality. I do start work this evening so I'll be able to put some hwy miles on this tank and I hope it goes up a bit. That and a cool front has come...in Aug. ..lol well it's 90F now instead of 98F so I might not have to use the a/c. Kevin

Thanks guys.

I have a spreadsheet with almost all my fill ups since I bought it 14 months ago.

I have 31 tanks recorded and I've been under the 45 mpg mark only 4 times:

1st tank, and the 3 others were in the heart of winter (january/february) at temperature below or at -40C/F.

___Accwai, I am still waiting patiently to add you and your Prius II to the list as it appears you will be next …
I don't put on a lot of miles very quickly--only 25 miles or so a day. So I'll get back to you in about three weeks.
