Don't drive like an idiot and you're not going to tip your vehicle.

An SUV is very safe when its stuck in your driveway.

Thats common for ANY vehicle with Traction control wich Ford doesn't even offer.

Well, I wouldn't want a vehicle that I couldn't even drive in a couple inches of snow, so I will stick to my Mariner.

Well I wouldn't want a slow SUV that has a great potential of rolling over. So ill stick to my 268HP Hybrid with Stability Control

Nice. I like when people come into a vehicle specific forum and try to trash that particular vehicle. That's worthwhile!

I guess stability control and the 5* crash rating is where that extra $7,000 went. Its a shame. All that horsepower and you can't drive in 3 inches of snow. My measly 155hp gets me around just fine....and with over 10% better fuel economy. I also like when people mention their concern for safety in the same sentence as they brag about how fast their vehicle is.....

I have driven in 3 inches of snow just fine FYI. I can tow 3,500 Pounds and have the extra power if I need to merge on the interstate. My extra $$$ wen't to a heck of alot more room, safety for my family and power. And for the reliability of Toyota.

My extra 7K went for more power, and much much much more safety features.

That extra $7000 pays for the reliability of Toyota (you know, all those recalls from 2006 and Jan. 2007).
