DIY Repair of traction blend door actuator

Re: DIY Repair of traction blend door actuator
I purchased the Motorcraft part and it fit. I've become sold on OEM over the years. Sometimes there's no choice because the OEM isn't available any more but if it is, it is usually worth the extra money.

Re: DIY Repair of traction blend door actuator
So, out driving Saturday I got the yellow wrench and "Service Soon" message with no codes apparently set. about 81K miles on the 05 so I'm guessing I'm the latest winner in the blend door actuator sweepstakes. I also just purchased an SGII and noted here there is a way to create an Xgauge to determine whether the actuator is working. Do I have that right? I didn't see the required TXD/RXF/RXD/MTH settings mentioned in this thread. Anyone have a pointer or is there another functionality of the SGII I have not yet discovered?
