I'm normally the first to say "run like hell" from most used hybrids, but this one sounds pretty decent to me.

Just make sure you follow the recommendations in the owners manual to DISCONNECT THE 12V if you intend to leave the vehicle sitting for more than 30 days (IMHO, 2 weeks).

Agree, there has not been much aftermarket support for old Ford hybrids like there was for some Toyotas and Hondas to drive down replacement parts prices. With gas prices low, hybrid car values and interest in keeping old ones running a long time are going to be reduced. It was a different story some years ago when gas prices were high and good used FEHs were being exported to other countries. This could be a very good FEH, but if something goes wrong with its electronics, it might have to be scrapped. Maybe the better question is...do you feel lucky?

Did you decide to buy the car? I just picked up a 2010 FEH Limited 2WD with 56k miles on it and I'm very happy with it so far. I'd be interested to know if you went through with your purchase and how it worked out. I know that on my FEH I'm doing the eCVT fluid change next, along with the oil, air filter, and cabin filter. I am going to follow Ford Tech Makuloko's procedure to change the eCVT fluid, it looks straightforward.
