7. Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 

From 1992 to 2016, Mitsubishi gave us ten generations of the Lancer Evolution, the Evo. Sporty, dynamic, and a hoot to drive, the 280 hp Evo remains hugely popular. It is especially appealing for aftermarket mods, pushing its already glorious performance to dizzying heights. As a sedan it could work as a daily driver. But when it got to work, it was serious. Fast, great launch, and responsive; it is a ride that isn’t without refinement, but really grips you with its pure experience.

Mitsubishi, come on. You need this. We need this. Are you really happy with all those crossovers? We know you, and we know you miss Evo. Just promise us that when you do bring back the Evo that you do it right. Just remember: performance sedan. If the rear spoiler seems too much … go with it. We promise, if you build it, they will come.
