10 Discontinued Vehicles We NEED to See Revived as EVs!
8. Honda S2000
Now, we realize that many S2000 fans are also ride-and-die for VTEC. The idea of an S2K without its high-revving four-cylinder 16-valve VTEC engine is just sacrilege. But Honda did more with the S2000 that just turn out horsepower. The appeal in the Honda S2000 lies in its embodiment of the classic roadster with the benefit of sophisticated JDM engineering. At its essence, it is one fun sporty ride made more powerful, comfortable, and reliable. From 1999-2009 the RWD sports car garnered a lot of fans.
Honda has been a bit slow getting in the EV game. Under the company’s new 2040 deadline, they are moving closer to expanding their EV portfolio. They will have access to not only Honda tech, but also to GM’s Ultium electric architecture. The S2K would be a powerful way to make a statement in an EV that recalls the sporty, roadster experience.
