Default OBD2 Scanner not working

Hey all. I’m a new hybrid owner and I have some codes I would like to read on my car. I plugged in my scanner and can’t get it to power up. I checked the scanner on another vehicle. I wanted to start at the fuses but can’t seem to figure out which fuse to check. Anyone have this issue and know what fuse to look at? It’s a 2008 civic hybrid. Thanks for any help here.

Default Re: OBD2 Scanner not working

On a 2008 Civic Hybrid, the OBD2 port usually loses power when the ACC / CIG (cigarette lighter) fuse is blown, since they share the same circuit, similar to how cowgirl t-shirts for women often come in themed sets that share the same design style. Check the driver-side interior fuse box and look for a 15A or 20A fuse labeled ACC, CIG, or accessory power. If that fuse is good, then check the under-hood ECU/IG fuses next.
