I am planning to do a HID conversion. I would like to know where i can find a set of cheap HID headlight assembly online? Thanks

 

I would be wary of anything but OEM headlight assemblies. Aftermarket units advertized as "HID" may not be street legal. OEM units on Ebay may also be stolen, as they are a popular target for theft and resale.

 

Cheap and HID in the same sentence?

 

haaahaaaa.... you are right. Cheap and HID can't be in the same sentence. however, I am looking for cheap OEM parts, Headlight assemblies. I know one place online which sell the headlight assemblies cheaper than the "Stealer", I wondered if anyone know places that carry Toyota OEM parts. Thanks again...

 

I dont know how much you mean by "cheap", but check out these two places. I plan on getting some HID's from either one in the near future, once I take care of other finances:

Depending on where you live, the type of HID's may or may not be legal. I would say that the 4300k is a safe bet, but check with your local DOT to make sure.

Thanks Geckoboy for the links. I have heard and thought about getting the HID from XenonDepot. do you know if they uses the Philips light bulbs along with the ballast or they use some kind of Korean lightbulbs with Philips ballast and claim them as philip's. Also, I wondered if you are going to change your currently halogen headlight assemblies to the OEM Xenon headlight assemblies? Thanks

I'm not sure about the bulbs. Seek out "elmo" over in the Toyota Camry Hybrid section of the forums, he got the HID conversion kit from xenondepot so he might be able to answer your bulb question.

As for the assembly, I own a Toyota Camry Hybrid. They come with projector lights so I plan on just replacing the halogen bulb with the HID's and install the ballasts.

 

it might sound silly, how would i know if my halogen has a projector or not. I know the Prius doesn't seem to have one because i don't see the round lense at the headlight. however, i might be wrong. Thanks....
