There are a few types of grills, not exatly sure which car gets which though.

There is the body colored with no chrome surround. (I think LE)

There is the arget with no chrome. (I think CE)

There is the arget with chrome surround and slats (hybrid)

There is the honey comb SE grill.

My "other Camry" an '07 XLE-V6 has a body colored (see disclaimer below) Grill and NO CHROME accents.
I should say, the grill is Titanium and the car is also Titanium so that is the only reason I'm saying it's body colored. Maybe ALL XLE's have Titanium grills ??

No, you're right, it's body colored, but as you said, all Hybrid's have a dingy grey grille.

I could have swore the XLEs had a chrome ring around them. No chrome on the slats though.

Is there an easy method of finding a part number other than the dealer? The SE grill is officially the "sport grill"...

Any clue how much one of these things costs? I may just stick with the stock grill as it isn't THAT bad...and I have other things I'd like to do with my money.

Thanks,

Send an email to Jeff Butts jbutts (at) myimport.com at www.myimport.com (a Toyota dealer in Michigan).
I've purchased several sets of floor mats from him and I asked him if he sells the SE grill and here is the response I got:

The Camry SE grille would be $144 and can be ordered in any Camry color you would like.
Would be around $12 for freight.

Hope this helps.

I'm very surprised that the grill is that cheap. I saw a hybrid grille being sold on eBay by someone doing the same thing. (I think it might have even sold for more than the $144!!!)

Put up some pictures of your end result. I would love to see how it turns out.

I too like the SE grille, but I don't like the other bodywork on the SE. (I think it makes it looks like a Pontiac...)

It probably won't be easy to swap the grille. I looked at removing my grille to add a grille blocker (for the cold weather), and there are two screws that need to be removed. BUT the screws have brackets right in front of them! Ugh!

Let me know if you find a trick to removing the screws too!

n8kwx - I will put up some pictures...as soon as I get the car! I am trying to plan this all out while I wait...gives me something to look forward to. Of course after I see the stock grill I might just light that...we'll see!
