Thanks for everyone's help so far...
My WMA CD is structured with 1 root directory with no songs in it and off of that hangs 1 level of subdirectories(each subdirectory has 1 full album in it). I average just a little more than 200 songs on 1 CD, filed in about 20 subdirectories, thereby keeping me below the 255 file limit.
I have had no problems playing back multiple WMA CD's using this structure.
Thanks for the info - I will try a setup that way - right now I am just trying 50-60 songs/files in the root directory with no subdirectory or folders.... Maybe it doesn't like them in the root directory...
I figured it out and this may help others.... I have used Music Match in the past to rip a lot of my CD's plus I have purchased music in the WMA Format via Music Match.... Well I demo'd a conversion program and re-converted or up converted several WMA files to the latest V9 WMA - guess what - they now work.... Even though the manual says it will play V7 and v8 - it doesn't seem to - I can only get the latest V9 WMA files to play on the player in my TCH.... Now I just have to convert them all of convert them all to MP3.....
OK, I ran into a similar WMA problem today, and I think I know the "real" reason which RCFlyer was able to bypass. I think the WMA player in the TCH is not DRM-compatible. So if you include any DRM-protected WMA files, the TCH stereo will not play those files. Now in my case, my stereo did not feeze-up, it simply skipped over the file and went to the next song. So now I have to upconvert my DRM-protected WMA files into non-protected version, which is what RCFLyer really did without even knowing it.
That's a good point too flopshot! I ended up upconverting all my files to the WMA CODEC 9.1 with DBPowerAmp - but then I stripped the DRM protected files with the burn and rip process..... All my discs are now working great!
