Does anyone else not like the yellow R near the shifter? My prior car, the color of each letter changed when you shifted to indicate the current gear (as many cars do) and sometimes I glance down while driving and think I shifted into reverse for a second!

Thanks. I never look at the shifter while driving, so it doesn't bother me. But now that you've mentioned it....

 

There is a yellow "R" somewhere? I guess it doesn't bother me then...

 

Ah, what? where? Guess I will have to look! Isn't it amazing what each of us notice?

 

The shifter's position is indicated by lighted letters in the instrument cluster. I believe the "R" there is colored amber. I've never even noticed the color of the letters near the shifter itself! But I'll definitely be taking a look at them when I drive home tonight...

 

Okay, so it is mostly just me. I'm just used to looking down there to see what the gear is, on Nissan's the colors change according to selected gear.
