When I get a fleet of several hundred ton aircraft, I guess I'll worry about it then. I think Nitrogen in car tires, is just a bit extreme and wonder if the payoff is there. An aircraft is generating many more times the stress, pressure and heat on the tires than a passenger car. I even question my own use of Synthetic oil as I never keep a car anywhere near 100K so the extra cost for better wear protection and a slight increase in MPG does nto seem worth it, so I can understand where the Nitrogen camp is coming from.

A car is carrying a little over 4000 pounds when loaded with passengers and cargo. It's generally moving at under 100 mph. A plane weighs significantly more and is landing and taking off at much higher speeds. What has economic and safey advantages for one application does not necessarily apply to a different application.
