Yes, in fact, I use memorex dvdr dl. Works fine with DVD Cloner but striking out here.

Where can I find the DVD-Rom "Book" setting?

Not sure how this helps in the burning process but initially when the idea of making copies of the NAV disc first came up one particular piece of software was recommended.

This software is called "Ones" and most people who used it reported no problems.

I'lll answer all in one post:

Yes, I'm using DL dvd-r discs

No, my write speed is no higher than 4x, in fact, I think I'm at 2x

And, no, I don't know if I'm in DVD-ROM Book mode. How do I get there?

Many thanks

I'm currently using a modified 7.1 disc - works fine

Statement One - I believe I had to use DVD +R DL to get it to work - not -R discs

Question One - if I read this string correctly - I can simply load my new 8.1 cd and since I already have the 5.1 kwi file - all will work fine ??

I've burned the disc using imgburn - was painless - will try it later today

thanks this string has a lot of great info

Just tried it - I had to insert and remove the dvd a couple of times before the unit accepted it. seems to be working ok ... I just removed/replaced the disk - no fuse pulling or anything...

are you sure you didnt load a dvd with the same v5.1 kwi file on a dvd that has the 8.1 data? check the file sizes...my experience is that anytime you load a dvd with a later dated kwi file, the boot software will cause it to update and load the newer kwi file from the dvd. btw, you do have to use +R DL with booktype=DVDROM....

KC Rusty - when you said "I can simply load my new 8.1 cd and " it implied to me that you purchased a legitimate 8.1 dvd from denso. v8.1 from denso has the overide functions removed....thats why one uses the 5.1 kwi file as it is the last dvd version in which the overide is available. i did not think that you dl'd a torrent..... im waiting for a v9 dvd to appear so i can create another hybrid dvd(v9 data with 5.1 kwi file).

When you use the above method, there is a pane on the right with several tabs. The third tab is called "Options".

I noticed in your screenshots, it doesn't say ISO9660, Joliet, UDF...(Joliet is missing). I don't know if that is the problem or not...

Hope that helps...
I've tried everything and wasted a whole bunch of discs. I use image burn, Verbatim DVD+R DL, Window Vista. Tried burn the iso file, tried burn the extracted files, with booktype change to dvd rom, make sure it says ISO9660, Joliet, UDF. Every time it burned to 99%, I heard "Oh, no", another disc wasted.

Can anyone help? Of send me the disc, I'll pay for the cost!! I have a 2008 Camry Hybrid.

Thanks
