Yes if you buy them as part of the car or buy a "complete" conversion kit which means the lens housing has to be one designed for HIDs (projection style lens).

For those that just change standard halogen to HID lookalike halogen, you are only fooling yourself into thinking you have more light, you don't, you have less. The only way to have more is if you consume more wattage which means you run at a higher temp (which can melt the lens) and shortens the life of your bulb.

For those that do the conversion, the step that is often overlooked is the replacement of the lens housing. This causes glare to uncoming cars. Plus the fact that most HID cars have self leveling mechanism to avoid any additional glare.

Your best bet is to buy the car with HID from the factory.

However, the TCH doesn't come with a HID option. How would you get around that with out a sticker shock?

For halogen projectors though, the TCH is pretty well set. Spend some money on a good H11 conversion kit, install it correctly, and you should be fine.

You make sure to buy a complete conversin kit. Including lens housing. Otherwise, it's not legal. This doesn't mean people don't do it, I'm just letting you know should you get pulled over or some accident is caused due to your lights. You will lose.

As fine as you think they are, it's not legal. Just keep that in mind. HIDs are expensive for a reason.

Do you think someone will make a product that makes this upgrade a little easier for those who have limited experience? For example. . make it truly plug and play? This one is preset for just the Camry. . this one is for the Altima.

There are plenty of non legal plug and play systems out there. There is a DIY thread on the HCH forum that can apply here.

All plug and play kits are just that. Just need to buy the right size bulb.

Does anyone know if the headlight unit on the ES350 would work in the new camry? I ask because the ES has HID lights. I wonder if it would be an easy swap.
