Default Do you use Voice Commands

I'm referring to commands to the car, not the occupants.

I have tried it a few times, it doesn't like me. I find it much easier to use the touch screen, especially when it is over-ridden.

The voice commands have never worked right for me. I tell the car to call home and it tells me that no government offices can be found in the immediate surroundings. Very poor voice command interface.

I don't have the NAV touch screen, so the voice commands for the phone I find work just as well as the VR on my RAZR.

I use voice commands for two things "Go Home" and "Hide all icons." Everything else, I use the touch screen.

I tried it a few times when I bought the car but it never really worked right. I just use the speed dial buttons.

You may want to add options for those of us who wouldn't pay the $$$$ Toyota wanted for the crippled nav; I've use voice command, as needed, to dial the phone on my non-NAV JBL...

And it seems to work surprisingly well. Certainly easier than twirling the tuning ****...

I haven't attempted to learn what they are yet.

Thanks Haroldo. Sorry I didn't get back to you. I am home sick today with my 3 yr old who is sick too.

I'm a non-NAVer, too, but too many choices would make the survey unwieldy.
Best to select you don't use NAV if you don't have it.
Survey not intended to be too scientific, rather to help coolshock1 (see below) to see whether folks are talking to their cars, or not.

Thumbs down Re: Do you use Voice Commands

I would if Toyota could get it to respond to what the commands it is given. But it hasn't worked correctly from day one, a year later still no joy.
