2007 TCH: Passenger Airbag OFF light always on
Even with a normal sized adult sitting in the passenger seat. It's a recent development. I just replaced the 12V battery. Does something need to be reset? I do have a Bluedriver OBD II scan tool which has full access to all Toyota functions and modules.

Replacing the 12V essentially resets everything as disconnecting it removes power from all computers long enough for them to reset.
It is likely a sensor issue or a loose connector.
