Take it to an auto mechanic and print out the codes and come back on here in tell us the codes more than likely you have a bad failed battery if you aren't savvy enough to change and fix the battery yourself I would suggest to buy a refurbish battery if you dont have the money for a dealership battery

thanks a lot for the reply. There is an auto parts shop called autozone in my area , I wonder if they can do the code check and if it is free . I will call them tomorrow when they open. Otherwise any auto mechanic shop can check the code and tell me if my hybrid battery is failing right ? Today which is few days later, I drove to Costco and to a pick up order and came back home and I didn’t see the warning lights and no rear cooling or vent noise and my car was running fine. I shouldn’t be fooled by this right? It was about 30 miles drive total. Will the code checker machine only detect the codes when I have the warning lights on my dashboard or it can find out anytime with or without the warning light ? Thank you

autozone might have a code reader that test for generic codes but to get a deeper reading taking to a mechanic who tells you they can read hybrid codes look up online in your local area for shops that work on hybrids what state r u in

Update:” I just went to Autozone store. They lent me a code checker and taught me how to use it. I took a pic of what I saw and the print out they gave me ” Pls check below
I still don’t see the warning lights on today . I am in Chicago Illinois thanks. Do I have to have the warning lights current and on to be able to detect the problem with the code checker? It came on few days ago but the lights didn’t come on yesterday . I will drive now and check if the lights or cooling fan sound comes on in the back.

switch out the bad module in block 1 if you don't know how to ask around and search for somebody locally who can help you do it or buy a refurbish battery pack

I have no idea what you mean but I did go to Toyota dealer service shop today and they told me it will cost me $150 just to diagnose what the warning lights are about. I did online search on hybrid battery and found two sellers. Greentechauto.com & greenbeanbattery.com. The former has location in my state and they told me they do free diagnose and charge $2000 for replacement hybrid battery that has 4 years warranty . The later doesn’t have location but they come to you ( free mobile installation) and charge you around $1800 for replacement battery with unlimited life time warranty. I think both have good but mixed reviews . I surely can’t pay and can’t afford original hybrid battery. What do I do?

Ask them if you can make monthly payments or learn how to switch out the bad battery cell watch videos and Google ask around but always remember safety first when working on this battery it's dangerous so buy you some 00 electrical gloves I was going threw the same issue you going thru now a few months ago and I learned how by watching YouTube videos and asking for local helps and on forums like this and others

Today I went to Autozone again while the warning lights stayed on . Checked the code, gave me the following print out with 3 error codes show in in this picture. It sure looks like I shouldn’t waste extra $ hundreds at the rip off Toyota dealer service shop to “diagnose “ and go straight to aftermarket Hybrid battery seller like greentecauto or greenbeanbattery for replacement to save money?

Error code

yes you have a few failing battery modules which could be any cell (34 cells) but mainly block 1( which is 2 modules )
so it's up to you what you want to do read my previous post and ask them about paying monthly they probably can work something out for you

the max I can I afford is the $2000 after market battery from either of those two companies I found. I guess install that one and then with no warning light on and 50000 miles, maybe I can get some money when I trade in for a new car few years later?
