I need to replace my brake actuator on my 07 Camry Hybrid. It looks pretty straight forward. I plan on labeling and removing the brake lines, remove actuator connector and two nuts that secure the assembly, Install new actuator, reconnect everything, then bleed the system as directed by Techstream. Sounds too simply. Do I need to disconnect the 12V, drain the brake fluid, remove ABS relays or anything else?
Wish this would have occurred while that extended warranty was still in effect.
I remember reading about someone doing this on another forum years ago. He actually swapped it out, was careful about fluid loss and drove it to the dealer after the swap to have it bled. Yea. That's it. It's a pretty easy job. I'd bet money that in the FSM it says to disconnect the battery. I would do it just for safety.
Be sure to label everything and use a set of "line wrenches" so you don't screw up those fittings.
