FYI,

Toyota will offer factory leather seats on the Prius as an option for 2006.

Leather is just flat uncomfortable as an upholstery material. And it doesn't seem to hold up as well as good quality cloth.

Hello,
I'd love to have leather. A few mentioned easier to clean. But are there any coffee drinkers or worries about difficulty cleaning up vomit or spilling a berry juice? If someone decides to climb over the center console, do I ask them to take off their shoes?

I've owned 3 other Hondas in my life and the upholstery is the last thing that I would say Honda is good at. To me the material is plain BAD. I will say thou that my HCH 04 Is holding up better, maybe because I use a towel on the seat.kevin

A lot of car manufacturers use simulated leather now. I like the suede, but it is reserved mostly for sports cars. If the Si could get the FE of the non-hybrid, I would have opted for that to be honest. As long as my car comes with seats and doesn't become a dealer installed item, I am happy with either suede or cloth. I don't want to get into this any deeper because the animal issue can be considered religion for some. It is not worth the raising of blood pressure of the more passionate members
