Leah, I agree with what you said. For me IQ is just for fun. I consider myself average. Heck, you might think less than average having actually endured me talking to you for an hour or so But I've never really worried about it. I can eat my food with a knife and fork without hurting myself so I figure I'm smart enough.

Hummm, is this a test?

I'd probably find their postal address and send a snail-mail letter describing a particular question and answer and disputing their answer. Hopefully, they would be so surprised by the paper letter complaint / concern that they will craft a well written response with their answer. . . . Ok, that is one.

I know your answer to everything is to write a letter and complain, but it seems a bit irrelevant here. I didn't realize there was anything to complain about. I thought occ just wanted to know the answers to the questions.

Here are instructions to get the answers.

  1. Log in to your Tickle account.
  2. Click on "Test Results" in the upper right corner.
  3. Click on the link just below "Your Score".
  4. Click on the "Go to my Report" button.
  5. Scroll down.
At some point when I first did this, I had to go through a variety of offers. It was still fast. I just clicked no thanks for all the offers.

I just logged in and printed the results as a pdf and am attaching this file.

Thanks Mr.Kite...just wanted to see if I can find some way to "guess" better on the next multiple choice IQ test....

[added comment:] I guess I'm not smart enough to "find the answers"! LOL.

I kinda took Bob's response as a funny spin on IQ tests...you know, like a Rube Goldberg way to find the correct answers to an IQ test...

LOL!

You could get 100% and see what score they give you...seems like there's some factor associated with age too!?

They also probably subtract points for people that waste time taking online IQ tests (like me).

Originally, IQ (Intelligence Quotient) was just your apparent brain age divided by your actual age and then multiplied by 100. Now, I think it is all percentile based for your particular age. The age factor is less important the older you get (kids brains and their thinking are still rapidly developing, adults--not so much).

Very funny.

I do like doing mind-bending, problem-solving challenges or puzzles just for fun. It's exercise for the brain, sort of. That's what makes tests like these somewhat entertaining. I guess all I was really saying was not to take the results seriously- I wasn't saying not to take the tests if you want. Personally, I adore puzzles and I'm even enough of a weirdo to admit that I enjoy taking standardized tests.

But don't forget- half of us are below average!

I scored 135, I maybe could have done better if I spent some more time on a few of the questions. I just went with my first instinct on a couple.
