MPG reports...?

Re: MPG reports...?
Topped off last week and then topped off again today at the same pump - about 300 miles in mixed driving. Doing the math I got 38.2 - the NAH's computer read 38.1 so I feel confident that whatever the car's computer calculates is fairly acurate.

Re: MPG reports...?
My wife developed the habit of not going far past the last quarter mark before refilling in our last car. She has carried this over to the Altima. I have convinced her that we have well over 100 miles to go so we have compromised on 500 miles, a little past the mark. for the last 4 fill ups, we have looked for gas at 500 miles and have averaged 35.4 to 35.9 on each fill.

Re: MPG reports...?
I consistently get >35 mpg on my daily commute. I generally fill up at about 720 miles per tank. I know I still have gas in the tank, but don't know how much. I also know that I go farther than the calculated mileage says that I am supposed to be able to go...
My commute is 25.3 miles each way, generally with 3 slowdowns going to work where miles per hour is <40. I generally do about 63 miles per hour when doing rest of my commute from San Jose to Palo Alto, via 85 and 280. Then my return is really variable because I don't necessarily go same path home.
Right now 648 miles, 37.1 mpg and 3/8ths of a tank left. Says I can go 58 more miles, but that can still vary.
I love the 20 gallon fuel tank.
I haven't tried to go for hypermileage yet, but I do know that I have changed my driving habits some and there are some parts of my driving where I do try to go 38 mph because that is very consistent where I can get the car to go in electric for a couple of miles.
