Hi everyone,

I just purchased a 2006 Honda Insight. I've been lurking at insightcentral and decided to hop on over here as well. I am very happy with the insight. I use it mainly for a 120 mile round trip work car. Best milage to date one way from work was 70.2. Averaging about 50 right now with 400 miles on the car.

Hi Don,

Yes, it is my first hybrid. I bought it off the lot and got a good price on it. I was also considering the Civic hybrid, but had to order and wait 3 months for delivery.

 

Sounds like you're getting pretty ok mileage for right 'out of the box'. What are your impressions of the insight? It's a 2-seater, right? Any goodies inside, like nice stereo, etc?

Yes, 2 seater, 5 speed manual, silver. No mods (yet). Just added rubber floor mats, seat covers, and round stick on mirrors for blind spots. I really like driving the Insight. Most of my driving to work is 4 lane highway.
