First of all, congats!!! You are going to love it. Picked mine up (Galaxy Gray w/Navi) last Friday and now I just look for opportunities to drive somewhere. It's a blast.

As for horsepower addiciton, I had the same fears. My last car was an Acura TL S with around 270 hp (totaled in a 5 car pile up by car number 5 being on a cell phone - I was lucky car # 3 - nobody hurt) and my "hobby car" is a 94 Trans Am GT pushed out to about 300 hp. Come to think of it, my wife's Murano is probably in the 250hp range, also.

The HCH is a whole different driving experience. I find myself more relaxed, more tolerant of others on the road and the whole driving experience more enjoyable. There's something about finding the "sweet spot" on a given driving stretch and watching the mpg display increase. Also, I notice a lot more as I drive.

Burn about 150 of your favorite songs as mp3's on a cd - pop it into the stereo - and find/make-up/invent a destination and a smile will surely come to your face.

Dan

P.S. Don't forget to wave as you go by the gas stations. High horsepower owners need love too

I'd agree with you if our highway planners in Columbus weren't smokin crack when they designed the on/off ramps. I try to stay off the highways here for just that reason. They have oncoming traffic coming from a dead stop merging into a lane with cars doing 70+ trying to get off the exit at the same time. It's survival of the fittest at it's finest. It wouldn't be so bad if it were some little trafficed exit but this is the largest interchange in Columbus. I-71 and I-270. To make matters worse it's also hazardous cargo route.

Congrats! There is something about this car that make me feel special also! I remembered that 5 years ago I bought the Acura MDX and it was hard to buy MSRP. However, I was not attached to that car as I am with the HCH. I joined the mdx forum and post a couple threads. However, I lost interests. This forum I find it is exciting! I love to drive my car everyday! I feel like a teenager again. Again welcome to the club!

Saturday ... how can you wait that long. LOL. Congratuations.

When my dealer called, he said he'd need a couple of days to install the mirror. I told him, how soon can you have it ready and I'll bring it back when the mirror can be installed. I picked it up that night. I didn't want anybody else test driving it.

I can't wait to get it, I'm glad I've heard that it makes people a more patient driver cuz I could definately use some of that My wife says I get road rage way to easily. It's probably cuz my car now doesn't like going slow hahaha

I put my summer rims on my trade-in and am ready to trade her in. She's been a good car but now that I've got the new baby and the knee problems, I think it's time to part ways and let someone else have some fun with it.

How does the HCH handle in the snow? I'll be traveling near Erie PA, Buffalo NY this winter and was curious about that.

Wow, I love this car. I think I like the voice recognition better then anything else so far. I love how the car looks. I love how the car drives. I love the fuel consumption (46.6mpg on my 25 mile trip home from the dealer) I can't beat that with a stick It's so quiet. It's so smooth. I definately don't miss the speed --- yet. hehehe

I just brought mine home today too. I was in the dealership for 4 hours. We signed papers earlier in the week and I went to finalize the deal. After a tiring day I was ablr to do some highway driving and city driving. I was surprised at how smooth the car rode (only drive an 05) and the decent amount of acceleration. I was really worried it would be a dog. Overall it's a great car.
