My manual says the rear seat is supposed to have a fold-down armrest, complete with drink holder. Why did Honda decide to leave it off?

There are a few other things in the "manual" that don't exist on the Hybrid. Maybe the second edition of the manual will be more accurate.

I imagine it has something to do with the battery, but not having a previous model, I really don't know. Since I am usually the driver, with only a 1 1/2 yr old in the back...not a concern.

 

Bad manual. Bad, bad! The Civic Hybrid doesn't have the same back seat or trunk size due to the placement of the IMA Powerpack. Bogus, huh?

Only the EX model has rear-seat cupholders, for some reason.

 

The rear seat on the honda hybrid is the exact reason i bought a Prius. No cut against the honda, i just needed the fold down rear seat that the honda didnt offer.
