Default Stereo Display

I'm trying to figure out if I'm missing a setting somewhere or if they're really that stupid. The CD player in my HCH doesn't seem to be capable of displaying time & track information on the screen. Not even when fast-forwarding or rewinding. I never have any idea what track I'm on or any timing. WTF? What kind of retard makes a cd player like that?

I didn't get much experience with the stock stereo so I can't realy help you. I think it does tell you what track number you are on though.

Yeah, I dont know about your car, but on my 2004 Honda CRV EX, the cd player doesn't show time or track title. All it shows is what track and number CD you are on if you hit the CD button. It's the 6 cd version.

I guess maybe that's normal for HONDA? Weird...I never understood it either, it's not like it is a difficult thing to do.

That's the one thing I don't like about the audio system. Same is true for the radio -- when you change stations, the new frequency shows for 2-3 seconds, then the display reverts back to the time.

yeah that bothers me too, it only shows what track you are on as it's starting a new song.

Or if you hit display, it will show the track number and then return to the time after about 5 seconds. That is an unusual way to deign a CD player...

That does not work on mine. The only way I can get a track number is to skip back or ahead.
