Mileage after the MDM update (recall)

Mileage after the MDM update (recall)
2003 CVT 58,000 miles.
I had first seen a slight drop in mileage during the first tank after the update, but then realized that the dealer lower the tire pressure down to 28lbs. After filling the car up and resetting the pressure back to 42lbs. the mileage seems better than ever, if by only a slight amount. The best commute MPG I've ever gotten has been 59MPG Dash beyond 100 miles traveled. Over the last two days reaching that same 100 miles the dash reads 60.5 MPG (no A/C and windows down). My commute is approximately 30 miles one way at mostly 50 MPH with some stoplights and stop signs, rolling hills in Maryland. The other thing noticed was that the IMA seems more aggressive, making the car a little peppier. Will keep you all posted after this and subsequent tanks.

Re: Mileage after the MDM update (recall)
I was going to post today on this exact same topic this morning. I just filled up after my first full tank after the recall. This is my 79th tank, and I hit several firsts for the car (03 HCH CVT, 40K miles)
Before Recall:
Avg MPG: 45.38
Avg error margin on the MPG display: +3.1 MPG (the display was always higher)
Best Tank: 48.75 MPG
First Tank After Recall:
MPG: 50.09 (not only a record for the car, but half the tank was with A/C on)
Error margin on the MPG display: +.02 (best prior was +1.3)
I also noted in another thread that my MPG display (the bars) were also different. At 500 miles I'm usually at 2-3 bars - this tank was at 5 (I had reported 6, but was mistaken). Obviously I was getting better mileage, but it seems like all my guages are more accurate since the recall.
Tires were at 40 psi - checked this before the tank. Oil was 0-20W. Weather was hot - no rain, but as I mentioned 1/2 the tank was driven with A/C on. I know it's only one tank, but I like the trend!
