A hollow victory due to the way they handled consumer input... many or most of the people who voted could have known nothing about the cars beforehand and they just voted for the Civic due to the radical (and welcome) change in appearance.

Yea... the outside appearance of the car hasn't counted for anything with consumers since...umm.... the AMC Pacer.

Edsel Corsair??

Pontiac shuttle craft...er... Aztek?

Speaking of the Edsel, how about the new Subaru B9 Tribeca. What's up with the new Subaru grill? They even put it on the WRX!
