Just installed new Navi, Backup Cam, and Bluetooth!!!
Eric:
I will post pictures. Corine at the store talked me into a Metra kit which has two issues (I know you had suggested using the OEM Navigation installation kit):
a) the kit does not fit snug
b) the color does not match
It seems that I have to now go back and use the original navigation kit from Honda?
Can you tell me the part number of the Navigation kit that you used to install your Navigation system?
I will post pictures once the install is done. No , I did not get a new amp and speakers for now.. the cost is getting out there.

I don't have any part number. I went to the retail parts department in Goudy Honda (800-282-1415 in Alhambra) and the reps print the diag. from the computer its only have one kit. I will tried to find my old invoice for any part number.
I don't know why Corine suggested the Metra kit?!? You're 100% right, the kit does not fit nice and color don't match! You want it to look right after you spend over $2000!!!

Sorry it took me so long, but I finally got everything installed and working. I put in a Eclipse 6600 Navi system with dual control (Navigation in front) while the kids watch a movie in the back. For the rear flip out screen, I got an Alpine 10" screen. I used the Parrot 3200-LS color. I also got a Eclipse BEC-105 camera (not very useful) and takes a bit gettting used to. I did install the HD Radio unit, and the Digital FM stations are totally awesome like KIIS-FM and you dont have to pay for the station like XM or Sirrus. Unfortunately, I cannot figure out how to put images in the editor on this forum. Let me know if you are interested and I can email the pictures or if you give me some pointers as to how you did it, I am sure that I will be able to add the pictures.
Thank you,
Ujj

Ok I will try, but if this does not work, please email me and I will send you actual files (jpg compressed).
Picture above is of an AVN 6600 Eclipse unit which is Double DIN. Steering Wheel controls need to be bough separately from

As you can tell I have a backup camera (VTR) and a IPOD add on alongwith a HD Radio. Please look a the next few images for back up camera and HD Radio. Backup camera has to be from Eclipse for the camera to function automatically when the Reverse gear is engaged. Eclipse camera quality leaves a lot to be desired. At night the reddish hue makes it impossible to use. My recommendation in hindsight, leave it out.

Next image is one of the HD Radio Stations that my FM receiver is able to tune into. Even though the HD Radio add-on is expensive, this well worth buying - coupled with the AVN6600 amplifier and using the mediocre speakers that come with the HCH, the sound is still pretty incredible.

The next image is of the Parrot 3200LS which also leaves a lot to be desired. The sensitivity to the placement of the microphone is unbelievable. I have placed the Mic behind the steering wheel and since I like to drive with a "arms outstretched position", I have to lean forward for the other person on the call to hear me clearly. Works intermittently.. great for checking voice mail etc or calling the office, but cannot call customers. Has a great 1 button push to move the call from the Parrot to the handheld.

And finally because the AVN 6600 comes with a dual play option, I installed a Clarion 10.2" LCD screen in the back which comes with 2 infrared wireless headphones. I can listen to music in the front, while my kids listen and watch a movie in the back.

Total with installation - $3200.
Email me if you need any specific data on the installation. Could not have done it without EKLs help and his aftermarket installer. Very honest group of people.

Dear Ujj,
Everything looks great!
You may want to ask the installer to hide the cable of the Parrat 3200 monitor console from the bottom of the unit to the back.

Now you have such a great MulitMedia system, any plan to replaces the OEM speakers?
Regards,
EKL

Thanks.. that is a good idea. I will call the installer and see if they can do so. Also, did you glue the pad for the Parrot or screw it in. My Parrot unit moves and is kind of flimsy.

I have my Parrot console mounted (screw in) on the right hand side of the opening and then turn the console up right and with the cable coming out at the back it will look much nicer.

Does the grey match the fatory blue pretty good?
Just a heads up that there is no aftermarket dash kit of the blue interior hybrid Civic. When I went to order my navi unit from Crutchfield they only had it in grey and brown (the only colors they makei it in). The stock colors for non hybrid Civics. The only place you could get the blue dash kit was from Honda and it retailed for about $99. If you got it from www.hondapartsdeal.com it was only $66. But, the non hybrid versions were only $44 retail, and $32 discounted. That is double the price!
