install of head unit done!

dash open 1

getting this done was the hardest part because there are two tough-to-remove screws to take out.

dash open 2

shift lever and handbrake assembly

lower dash cover and transmission cover removed

full armrest and console removed

needed to remove the whole thing to get to the screws

front dash removed

it's not really as shiny as on the crutchfield site

need a crimp

new head unit installed 1

new head unit installed 2

new head unit installed 3

Cool stuff. I'll try to get some pictures of my new receiver too once I find my camera again. Now, where did that thing go...

did anybody use dynamat and does this help out with speaker installation or does it really not do much?

I bought my HCH last september. It seems to have a factory sub built into the rear deck. Can anyone tell me anything about this?
