For the credit, no you do not get hat amount back. I believe they just subtract that amount from your income, so you are just taxed on less money. Overall it is just a couple hundred $'s worth of saving

Sorry about that.

This is what a tax accountant here in LA told me, as well as the dealer ship we bought our car at said, so I thought it was right

we bought ours used, so we can't get the credit anyway.

So far using all the hyper milieage tips I have read here I'm getting 28 city mpgs with my aura.

is it hybrid aura or 4 cylinder aura?
