Aura Xe 4cly or HCH?

Re: Aura Xe 4cly or HCH?
If you use a 2006 tax program the rates are very similar (this is assuming Congress passes the AMT patch they have promised). You don't have to be dragging home $75K to be affected by AMT. But Wadsworth is correct that if you are paying more than $2100 in tax before your withholding is applied then you should be OK!
One of my personal reasons for choosing a hybrid is so that I can go places and really not be concerned with gas purchases!! Yes I could have chosen a lower priced car...but so far almost 10,000 trouble free miles with only one oil change and tire rotation.
I love this CAR!!!

if you will buy hybrid saturn aura you have to check the saturnfans forum.they have a lot of problem with the 2007 aura hybrid some say ....it just die(stop) around 7000 to 13000 miles.i don`t know about 2008.about the space i think the leg room is much better in civic hybrid.
What are you talking about??? I don't see a Saturn Aura Hybrid Forum on green hybrid. Are you speaking of another site?
The Aura might use the same technology as the Vue, but you cannot assume because the Vue "might" have a problem the Aura will also. That is Asinine!
GM has done a lot in the past few years and Saturn has definitely benefited from that.

I have own 2 GM products (one brand new and the other 2 years used). Both had head gasket leaks, both started to cost me a lot of money after year 4. If you plan on turning your cars over every 3 years, then it probably doesn't matter so go with what you like.
The fact that you are on this site would tell me you do care about the environment so the money issue may not really be an issue. I like saving gas, but I like more that I made a decision to choose a car that doesn't impact as much as the non-hybrids do.

Again, this is only how I understand it. I would please like to be corrected if I am wrong, which I think I may be because no one else replied to your post saying anything like this.

No, that's incorrect, GQ.
idareu's example is correct as long as he paid $6100 or more in taxes for the year. you can't get back more than you paid.
For 2006, I was set to get refunded about $1000. My 2006 HCHII credit made my refund about $3100. I expect something similar for 2007 and my 2007 HCHII.

Re: Aura Xe 4cly or HCH?
go to www.saturnfans.com type aura hybrid you will read what there saying.
I mean all cars have problems, abeit some bigger than others, but I think Saturn is one of those car companies that makes really nice cars. Initially GM didn't have any involvement with them and then they did. Next they stop again because they realize it was better to let Saturn do Saturn....
In Fact, GM replaced a lot of their own lines with the Saturn version, The Vue/Equinox, Aura/Malibu, Sky/Solstice... etc.
Aura is better compared to the Honda Accord or HAH, the Civic is no where near the size and market that this vehicle is targeted for.....

Re: Aura Xe 4cly or HCH?
From a Saturn Forum site, I wish our Hondas did this:
"Heater runs with the car turned off ?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Later model S-series had a feature called "afterblow." About ten minutes after turning the car off, it would turn on the blower on low for a couple of minutes to get moisture out of the system to prevent musty smells. I heard that a lot of Saturn techs didn't even know about this feature. I'm not sure if it was on by default or if it had to be activated
I can't count how many times I needed to have Acura use Anti-bacterial spray to clean out that musty smell... So far so good right now on my HCH though
